Welcome to the website of the Royal Thai Consulate in Glasgow.

We are here to help persons, of any nationality, wishing to visit Thailand with information about visa requirements and to issue visas to those who require them.

We invite applications for visas made in person by or on behalf of the applicant at our Consulate in Glasgow.  Tourist visas applied for before 10.30 am on a business day can usually be issued on the same day by prior arrangement (see Guidance Notes).  If you wish to apply for a visa, please go to the Visa Applications page, where you will find an Application Form, which you can download.

We regret that we are not permitted to accept visa applications by post.  For those who would like to apply for a visa by post, please click this link.  We are informed that The Royal Thai Embassy would normally process the application within five working days.

Our office hours are 9.00 a.m. till 1.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.  In an emergency, a personal application may be made outside those hours by prior appointment with Mrs Wishart (see Guidance Notes for contact details).

Please go to our Visa Applications page for an Application Form (which can be downloaded) and for the Guidance Notes, for information about the types of visa available and how to apply for them.
